SAVE THE DATE! The Third Annual Health & Wellness EXPO will take place on Sat. Sep. 21, from 10 – 2 at the gymnasium at Model Creek Elementary School, 18912 Hays Ranch Road.
Look forward to some unique additions this year: skin cancer screenings will take place, courtesy of AZ Complete Health and Well Care Assured Imaging. The new Emergency Zones will be outlined and explained by representatives from the Emergency Management Division of Yavapai County, and Manzanita Outreach will be bringing 150 containers of perishable food items and 150 bags of fresh produce… And of course, the new WickCare Clinic, the mobile unit from Wickenburg Community Hospital will be front and center!
We are offering cash prizes for youth, courtesy of the Wickenburg Art Club. Adult winners will receive distinctive “art” ribbons, and a grand prize of a two night get away. Winning artists will also have the option of having their art be displayed at the Yarnell Public Library from Sep. 24 – Oct. 31.
In 2019, WMHI Founding Board Members, with the assistance of the University of Arizona, Center for Rural Health formed a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization to function as a collaborative to improve health and wellness for the 3,000+ area residents. The area includes; Kirkland, Peeples Valley, Skull Valley, Wilhoit, Yarnell and surrounding areas.
