Weaver Mountains Health Initiative is proud to introduce our new Outreach Coordinator, Kathy Fitzgerald. Kathy is a familiar face to many in the Weaver Mountains area.  Originally from New Jersey, Kathy has made her home in AZ since 1978.

Kathy’s professional life has involved dentistry through and through.  She started  as a chairside assistant in New Jersey.  After moving to Arizona she worked for CIGNA, a large corporate dental practice.  From there she moved on to be a dental clinic supervisor at a John C. Lincoln Hospital (now Honor Health) and manager of the professional volunteer program for the clinic.
In addition to her dental related experience and qualifications, Kathy has skills in event planning, networking, research, grant tracking, credentialing, quality assurance and recruiting volunteers.

Kathy loves to be of service.  Her volunteer activities in the Weaver Mountains includes Meals on Wheels delivery, Fire Department auxiliary, Yarnell Regional Community Center and helping with a feral cat program (Trap, Neuter, Return or TNR).  She is a regular participant at craft fairs with her jewelry, and has organized concerts and auction activities.  She and her husband Wayne have lived in Peeples Valley since 2012. They share their home with her now 6-year-old rescued cat named Middy.
