WMHI Program Coordinator Position
The Weaver Mountains Health Initiative is seeking a Program Coordinator. Responsibilities include: identifying opportunities and resources, planning events and activities, and cultivating relationships that promote the mission of the WMHI: fostering connections for healthy living in the Weaver Mountains.
The position requires the ability to translate the vision and mission of the Board into a series of activities. A quarterly work plan will be submitted to the Board with an estimated time for activities, programs and promotional efforts that address both access to health care and encouragement to participate in health and wellness / prevention activities. Reviews will occur monthly.
Eligibility requirements: a resident of a Weaver Mountains community, a self-starter with excellent communication skills, organized, outgoing people-person, flexible, and computer literate (proficient in Word, power point, spreadsheets, etc. ). The successful candidate will also have research skills, and be able to enlist assistance for particular projects/events. The ideal candidate will additionally have experience in: working with a Board of Directors and working within a budget. A background in medical systems / health care options for rural residents will be a plus.
- Reports to: Board of Directors / Board President
- Pay rate: $20 per hour, $5000 annually
- Contracted hours: Approximately 20 hours per month, with flexibility to adjust hours as the work requires at the direction of the Board president.
